Pump House review:

Mark and Phil, now fondly referred to as 'The Buzzards' are both men of talent.  Somehow they combine the sweetest, cleanest slide guitar sound you've ever heard with the most skillful melodic blues harmonica.  On top of this they also sing in close harmony, their voices coinciding in an almost casual precision to produce their very own blues style.  The Buzzards work their special magic on all kinds of material from songs by Sonny Terry and Brownie McGee, to The Reverend Gary Davies, to Woodie Guthrie.  They also throw in the odd James Taylor and Bob Dylan song into their repertoire, a great canvas for their two voices and an excuse for Mark to show off his immaculate finger-picking technique - and not forgetting the audience, a chance for them to sing along.  All of these musical delights spring from a deadpan stage presence which would be hard to cultivate if it didn't come naturally...they're funny guys, great musicians, superb singers and oddly enough good yodellers...
